Building the studio

We have been hard at work at Honcho Productions Collective. Today brought us closer to finishing the isolation booth/laundry room. I will be gaining even more room! Only because the hot water heater started leaking down into the crawl space and I bought a tankless, wall mount hot water heater to replace it. But, that means less metal to cover when I record V/O work. We will have a mic line and headphone plugins so the setup should be pretty good. I suppose you win some and you lose some.

Albums listened to today: Camera Obscura: Let's Get Out of This Country, Kaiser Chiefs and The Killers.

If you couldn't get in to that one...

Well, The Maldives/Moondoggies show ended up selling out last night. I'm sure it was a good show for those that were able to get in...... which wasn't us! Oh well, what can you do. Tonight I will be seeing The Ever Changing Sky @ Goofy's, in North Ballard. It is just off of 15th and 85th. The Ever Changing Sky is an instrumental band in the vein of Explosions in the Sky and M83. And as a plus, Goofy's has Pull-Tabs! Fun for all. Check out the band at their MySpace page  http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=11119596

Hope to see some friendly faces and hear some good music.

This might be late, but....

Everyone needs to go and see The Maldives tonight at NeuMo's. They will be playing with The Moondoggies (I know, I know, bad name, good band) and Black Whale. The show is super affordable and it will be a great chance to see The Maldives tear into their Americana rock. They have a new album due in the spring and I have remixed a few of their older tracks. Those tracks will be up as soon as I get clearance to post them.

But until then, go to the show! I will see you there!

The first will be the last

Hey everyone. This is the first blurg post for us here at Honcho Productions Collective. I hope to have music reviews and samples of what we are doing here in West Seattle. If you have any ideas for upcoming blurgs, let me know.
